Booth walkthrough with the artist Ernesto Carozzo.
In Spanish, without translation.
Open to the public.

Ernesto Carozzo (1979, Lima) completed his photography studies at Centro de la Fotografía in Lima in 2007. From the outset, he focused on artistic photography, supporting his personal projects with commercial work. His series often explore various moments in photographic history, spanning portraiture, still life, landscape, and his distinctive depictions of the sky. In 2019, he began incorporating painting into his practice, using it to highlight and transform elements within his photographs, a technique that has become central to his artistic exploration. Carozzo’s work has been exhibited in notable institutions, including Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) and Galería Lucía de la Fuente (Lima), where he continues to develop his unique fusion of photography and painting.

Circa
Circa Galería de Arte continues a family legacy that began in 1969 with Sala de la Pequeña Muestra, founded in Rosario by my father, Armando Raúl Santillán, a pioneer in the city's gallery scene. This space was instrumental in the development of artists who are now key figures in Argentine art, while also building an invaluable collection that is an integral part of our history.
Since 2010, Circa has evolved into a meeting point between historical collections and contemporary art, fostering a symbolic dialogue that highlights local culture and projects its impact on national and international stages.
Located at Montevideo 1564 in Rosario, the gallery features a distinguished roster of artists, including Simón Achem, Sol Boltsis, Lázaro Diacovich, and Fabián Burgos, as well as masters such as Juan Carlos Castagnino, Leónidas Gambartes, and Santiago Cogorno. The gallery also showcases iconic works by Lucio Fontana, Joan Miró, and Francis Bacon.
As a cultural manager and director, my commitment at Circa is to honor my parents' legacy, strengthen the circulation of art, and promote new ways of thinking that art can inspire in our society.
