Eduardo Cardozo (1965, Montevideo, Uruguay) studied at the National School of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Architecture in Montevideo, later expanding his expertise by studying printmaking with Luis Camnitzer in Italy. Cardozo has held solo exhibitions at venues like GALERIA SUR, National Museum of Visual Arts (Montevideo), Juan Manuel Blanes Museum, Subte Municipal, Artfullliving (Washington D.C.), IDB Gallery, Embassy of Uruguay (Washington D.C.), Galería Laca (Charlotte, N.C.), and Wertingen City Hall (Germany). He represented Uruguay at the 60th Venice Biennale (2024) and has participated in the Cuenca Biennale (Ecuador), Mercosur Biennial (Brazil), and the "Do ut do" Biennial (Pompeii, Italy). His work has been featured in art fairs like Arteaméricas (Miami), Cornice Art Fair (Venice), ARCO Fair (Madrid), Arteba (Buenos Aires), and SP-Arte (São Paulo). Cardozo has received several awards, including First Prize at the National Visual Arts Salon, Bicentennial First Prize at the National Museum, the Paul Cézanne Prize from the French Embassy, and First Prize at the Municipal Salon of Montevideo. His work includes interventions at the Vik Hotels in José Ignacio, murals at Viña Vik in Chile, and at Galleria Vik Milano.
