Booth walkthrough with the artist Lorenzo Moya
In Spanish, without translation.
Open to the public.

Lorenzo Moya (1967, Chile) is a Chilean painter trained at the University of Chile. Throughout his career, he has received numerous distinctions, including the "Amigos del Arte" scholarship, first place in the Mural Contest organized by the Chilean Safety Association, an honorable mention at the Buenos Aires Biennial, first place in the Enersis "Energy and Light" competition, first place in the Nestlé Contest, and the "Alcatel Amigos del Arte" award in Santiago, Chile. He was also selected to participate in the "If the Earth Could Speak" competition, exhibiting at the Museum of the Americas in Washington, D.C., United States. Moya’s painting spans from human figures to landscapes, following a figurative and naïve style that infuses his works with a mysterious, poetic quality. His deep devotion to nature has established him as a key figure, as he not only paints landscapes but immerses himself in them. Through his work, he invites viewers to partake in his journeys, transcending boundaries and offering an experience that goes beyond the physical realm, using vibrant colors, textures, and the purity of nature in its raw state.

In an era where new voices are raising alarms about the climate crisis, nature takes on a renewed prominence. As is often the case, artists are among the first to assume responsibility, embracing an activist stance to underscore the urgency of the message. They break the fourth wall, immerse themselves in nature, and reveal its mysteries to us.
In this production, nature becomes the sole object of representation—the landscape stands self-sufficient. The artist takes us on a journey through the extreme biodiversity of untouched, sparsely inhabited territories he has personally explored. Through his large-scale works, he captures the vividness of these environments, maintaining their natural scale. By employing a close-up perspective and limiting spatial depth, Moya portrays his sensations and invites us to experience them firsthand: to breathe the omnipresent mist, walk on crackling leaves, feel the light peeking through branches, touch the water's reflection, be dazzled by the snow's brilliance, and smell the fragrances of peumos, earth, and laurels.
Through his work, Moya conveys a silent dialogue of contemplation and reverence, offering a pictorial homage to the overwhelming green immensity that nature embodies.
