MARTE is an artistic platform that, since its beggings in 2005, seeks to be a turning point and meeting within the cultural scene of the community. Aiming at the promotion, diffusion and sale of Uruguayan contemporary art. As an artistic collective, MARTE is not only focused on itself, but also open to the search for a fairer society from the area of ​​artistic creation. In more than 50 exhibitions held inside and outside the MARTE spaces, more than 300 Uruguayan and foreign artists have exhibited. Through programs and workshops, it promotes research, experimentation and development of contemporary art projects. Curatorial projects have been carried out, participated in meetings of alternative spaces, edited catalogs and books, and generated exchanges with artists, collectives, curators and galleries from abroad. He also advises collectors and institutions who want to acquire contemporary art.
